The Erlaufsee is an alpine lake located in the the very heart of Austria. The lake’s sandy beaches might suggest that it’s a warm lake however it’s quite the opposite and most of the year the water is freezing cold. When it’s hot for a while in summer though it can heat up to up to 24 C. The water comes from the mountains and is of crystal clear drinking water quality.
